Born to Japanese parents Pil Jae Cho (father) and Gyeong he Lee (mother), Lily was five years old when she moved to the United States. Her family settled in Georgia. Cho’s drawings are heavily influenced by Japanese culture. Lily blends Far Eastern illustration with Western storytelling techniques and creates her characters by drawing from current events and music. She appreciates the works of Brian Stelfreeze (Catwoman), and Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin).
Lily graduated in 2012 from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a BFA in Sequential Art. While at SCAD, Lily participated in the Martial Arts Club and the Concept Art Factory.
In her spare time Lily enjoys watching current events and listening to music. This furthers Lily’s inspiration for artwork and story writing.
