We need to raise funds in order to release the first hardcover copy edition of Diamond Island. Pledging $25 will entitle you to a copy of the Diamond Island graphic novel and a special Diamond Island bookmark. Pledging $36 means you will get Diamond Island, the bookmark, AND the Diamond Island soundtrack download! Ultimately, the more you pledge the greater the reward. We will acknowledge the names of all backers who pledge $50 or more on a thank you page in Diamond Island. There are bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond support levels.

How we are gathering the funds to print Diamond Island
We are using an acclaimed and trusted website called Kickstarter to help us gather funds for our independent project.
How Kickstarter funding works:
All projects have a funding goal and a deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to help make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers’ credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged, no one receives the book (or any rewards), and we’re all sad. Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing.
Wait, so I can get a special edition hardcover copy of Diamond Island by backing your campaign?
Our campaign revolves around a reward system. For example, if you pledge $25 towards our funding goal and the goal is reached, you will receive a beautiful hardcover copy of the Diamond Island graphic novel. If the funding level is not reached, you lose nothing, as your pledge is only collected if the campaign goal is met. However, we will be unable to print the book!
Essentially, we are collecting all book purchases and combining them into one sum we can use towards printing the book. You will play a major role in helping us release the book while receiving the book and other rewards in return.
What happens if you don’t meet your campaign funding goal?
As mentioned previously, funding is all-or-nothing. If the project is not fully funded after 30 days have passed, we won’t receive ANY of the funds and won’t be unable to publish the book. (In such a scenario, backers are not charged for pledges).
It is imperative that all project backers share the project with those they think will enjoy it 🙂 Backing and sharing will provide us with a winning combination, one that will allow us to achieve our goal of printing a special first edition of the Diamond Island graphic novel.
Okay, I understand, what’s the next step?
This is an opportunity take part in the making of Diamond Island, something to be genuinely proud of.
